Cheap Single Pushchairs

If you're looking to save money and don't require a stroller that doubles as car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop comfortable.

It's also easy to push and feels solid when navigating kerbs or woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold that fits in aeroplane overhead luggage. The latest version has independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly traverse all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack come together to create a sleek pushchair with a subtle elegant look. The frame's weight alone is just under a kilo and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, as an example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a reassuring way. It's also machine washable at 30deg which helps avoid staining caused by smushed and mashed carrot puffs and rice cakes. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It can also be converted into a stroller after 6 months with the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who want a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle, so parents can select which mode they prefer on their trip. The wagon can accommodate one or two kids from 6 months old to 5 years old, and it has a wide storage basket that can accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore also has two canopies that rotate from front to back, providing ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long journeys or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it does not flex as much as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors and it doesn't secure when folded. It is easy to move, however, and fits through doors with a width of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double small single stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It scored high in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to lift and store in a trunk for your car. It also has an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a parent cup holder. Other key features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

In our test of the push and turn, it did better than the majority of other cheap strollers we tried, but it's not the easiest to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doorways. The sunshades it has were among the smallest strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger canopies.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. But, it's lacking certain essential features that we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller like a large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest addition to Maxi-Cosi's Single Pushchair sale range and is billed as an urban travel system. It can be used from birth until 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted with a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base and a reversible baby carriage.

It's a breeze to maneuver and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the massive shopping basket make it simple for parents to get their child out and in quickly. This compact pushchair can handle every day bumps and doors easily.

The front wheels can be locked in an forward position or let them swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel while walking along an uneven path. It handled the situation well, even though it felt a little rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also offer a great range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It folds easily and fits easily into the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It's a bit heavier than the other strollers we test, but the wheels are rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It's a breeze to maneuver across all kinds of terrain, and it's also a breeze to lift, even when loaded with two children and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that are able to be lower to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extension. They are waterproof and strong unlike other prams' hoods which get whipped back into toddlers' faces.

It does not have much storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. It can also be used with a Baby Jogger car seat for babies up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you require a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents everywhere. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's initial days and beyond. It has a number of stand-out features including the possibility of flipping the seat from parent to world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and filled with foam which minimizes punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. It was easy to push, and our tester was able to maneuver the car through narrow streets.

It folds in four simple steps, and locks automatically without hassle. It is also able to stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the car's boot or down the stairs at home. The travel system is also offered with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors included. The brakes are simple to use, using a single strollers that connect, colour coded and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is simple to use and comes with a great dual suspension. It folds with one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It is also lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into many positions and comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat has two extra-large fixed or flip-out sun visors and both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal since it's not as silent as Velcro and could cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be adapted to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and works with a few carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be placed so that they face each other. They can also be set to face the parents. This should reduce sibling arguments about who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a big gear tray with a bottle holder as well as snack trays. It also comes with a compact stand fold and automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great jogger for parents who love to be active. It's among the lightest running strollers you can purchase for your child and offers great safety features like five-point harnesses and a secure wrist strap. It comes with a different kind of hand brake than other models, which is a twist.

The seat is comfortable and has a wide area to sit, but the seat's depth is less than other joggers we've tried (it's about 10"). The storage bin is encased with a zipper that keeps things secure. It can hold up to 10lbs that is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters to fit most bassinets and infant car seats however, you can use them from the very first day using adapters that work with brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes between 5 and 10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The instruction manual is easy to comprehend and contains multiple languages.
